The preliminary task was made in order to develop our initial understanding of the way in which our first and sort piece would be made in order to further improve our understanding for the final piece. This storyboard, shows our ideas and interpretations on shots, props and location that we felt would be important for out preliminary exercise. There were certain shots that we had to experiment with in order to gage the understand of and to accept how it works. This included angles close up, long shot, mid shots. We also involved match on action and sot reverse shot when in conversation and had to apply this to the 180 degree rule, which could not be broken. Although there isn't a lot of narrative, it is clear to see that tension is building through out the piece. Something has gone wrong as one character says 'meet me', however it is not revealed in the prelim and involves you watching the rest of the piece to find out. This is what we found engaging.
